This stunning Lemans' Red beauty is in remarkable original condition have clearly been treated with absolute respect its entire life!
Sold new from the local Ford Dealers Avon City Ford in Sockburn on the 19th April 1994 this remarkable survivor has travelled a mere 122k in the last 23 years, and has only had two long term Canterbury owners, the first selling her in 2002 with only 17,900 Kms on the clock and with the second trading her back to Sockburn Ford again very recently.
According to the original sales agreement invoice from 1994 which accompanies this old girl she was originally the princely sum of $48,000 dollars new! and detailed in the original invoice are a list of options that were fitted from new by the dealer ship, including the rear window louver at $256.00 The deluxe rear spoiler at $539.00 a tow bar at $408.00 and mud flaps at $164.00 among other small items, all of which was fitted by the agents at dealer level, and still remain on the vehicle to this day!
This dear old Fairmont still drives like a new car, and has clearly been treated well, the body is very straight and rust free, and appears to be wearing its original coat of paint including the bonnet and front bumper, with only the odd very minor chip and small parking dent if you catch it in the right light.
The engine bay is totally complete, and original, as is the boot area which still has the original spare wheel and tire which appear to have never been out of the boot!
The interior in this example is in excellent condition for its age, showing the sort of minor wear you would expect in a car that was only a few years old, not over 20, while all of the original books, keys, stereo code card, remotes, and the original unopened Ford touch-up paint, which is all still present in the original folder in the glove compartment.
An amazing old time capsule in remarkable order, and not many too of these have survived, especially in this sort of condition, and kept in this order, this should be a very rewarding future investment, as well as just being a lovely old car to live with.
Inspection will impress, a rare colour at the time for the Fairmont's, and you would be very hard pressed to find another one like it.
