A future collectable? Most certainly!

Sadly we will never see V8 Commodores again so surviving examples of the breed from this era are starting to come of age now and are starting to become scarce and so in turn collectable, and if history tells us anything its that now is the time to buy good surviving 90s cars because they will never be cheaper...

This remarkably original old darling is a very genuine unmolested example presenting in much the same way it would have back when it was new almost 30 years ago!

Its actually hard to believe this Calais is an almost 30 year old car, the general presentation would be the envy of a lot of cars half its age, the body is lovely and straight showing no signs of previous repair and appears to still be wearing its original day one coat of paint and clear!
The interior is in very nice order too and finished in leather and cloth with the luxury wood grain accents throughout for that extra touch of class.

The bullet proof 5.0 Injected engine has hardly done any work at a mere 174k kms, and this example is very tight so literally drives and shifts like a new one.

According to the original books and literature retained throughout the decades this old darling was new in Tauranga by 1st Motor Company and registered to its first owner on the 19/09/96 who was an accountant, and who kept the Calais for five years before selling it to its second and current doting owner in 2001.

Having been very reluctantly released from its cosy garage at the rest home due to its loving owner no longer being able to drive, this trusted companion has finally come to the market.

Quite a rare car in 5.0 V8 now as most have succumbed to the ravages of time and neglect, but not this one, inspection will impress a genuine buyer, and it would be fair to say that this factory original V8 Calais is going to be better than the money in the bank at this price, with a better return too...
