The Impressive Dodge Viper underwent a major redesign in 2003, courtesy of DaimlerChrysler's Street and Racing Technology group SR-T. The new Viper SRT-10 was heavily restyled with sharp, angled bodywork. The V-10 engine was enlarged to 8.3 L 505 cid/8,285 cc which, with other upgrades, combined to increased output to 500 hp 370 kW 373 kW and 525 ft-lb 712 Nm of torque. The chassis was also improved. It became more rigid and weighed approximately 80 pounds less than the previous model.
The third generation of these impressive machines is respectfully a very long way from the original first gen cars, it's pretty obvious to see that Dodge were now very serious about taking on the world with these cars and wanted to compete with European standards of styling and finish, and build something that was truly worth paying the money for.
This example is immaculate in its presentation and has clearly been treated with respect by mature enthusiast owners, the first purchasing the car brand new in Canada and bringing it out to NZ in 08 when he immigrated, selling it a little later to its second owner, who has now reluctantly decided it's probably time for a change.
